Heat Sync Labs Near Space

We were planning this Near Space Flight for a few weeks now at Heat Sync Labs and have been working on rebuilding the payload from the last flight. Today was finally out flight day and we couldn’t be more excited.

The payload is carrying an APRS transmitter and a mobile radio as well as a sensor array and a camera. I was manly involved in the communications and locating the payload once it landed. I even built a custom yagi antenna to help us locate the payload.

From the pictures you can see that out expected path was not very far off of the actual path.. We just came very close to landing in the VW proving grounds there in Maricopa AZ.
